The Paradox soundtrack album above has been scheduled for release on the same day as Neil's live vault release Roxy, which can be found here:

amazing.......amazing.......amazing

someone (crosby :)) needs to sit neil young down and explain the idea of quality over quantity.

and for the promise of the real.......pick up the fricking telephone and call either crazy horse or CSN and just get it done, cause the whole promise of the real thing just is not working,,,,,,and yes i know willie is your friend, and i think after the giving them 2 albums, now 3, enough is enough.

just one man's humble opinion of course.

Is Neil covering Happy Together, or is this the Turtles original? I'm definitely on the fence until I learn a lot more. I once had the other soundtrack he did (I think it was the Hunter Thompson film?). I no longer own it.

You're right. I did hear the vinyl as a young adult, & wasn't real impressed.

Neil's a 72-year-old man who already suffered a life-threatening brain aneurysm. Can we really fault him for wanting to produce more music while he can?

It's $'s for his family also. You're right, no one is forcing us to buy it.

i am not really faulting him (well, maybe a little) i just wish that he would practice a little quality control. this is the same guy that participated in 'deja vu" which had 1000 hours of studio time to get it perfect.

I'm in for anything that Neil provides. The fact that he continues to give just increases my admiration for him.

I'm looking forward to this, as I do with any Neil Young music. If nothing else, I think this is his best album cover in a long time.

God Bless our Renny, you are such a paradox but that's why at least why I love you.

thank very much.

it is true, i know of no one who follows, relishes, and collects CSNY as much as i do. my CSNY collection of legit releases is 100% complete as far as i know.
if i find out there is something i don't have, it is my mission to get it ASAP. however, on the flip side, i do not have a problem with telling like it is about them too: either good or bad.. neil young pisses me off because i do not like the quantity over quality trap he seems to have gotten into since around 2000

which is, i guess, why it bothers me that some people, here and elsewhere, have such blind faith in their musical heroes and find no fault with anything that they might do.

hence: since 2000 he has released 19 albums (including those coming out soon), archives 1, 8 archives series releases, 3 original release series box sets, and a greatest hits CD. and still no 'time fades away' individually!

we can only hope that they might just put aside their difference one last time, make that killer record we all know is in there somewhere, and give us one final tour.

sincerely,

the crotchety old man.

Neil was my first concert. I was 13. He played solo acoustic, similar show to Massey Hall. We were so cool....... we smuggled cigarettes in wrapped in tin foil!

It's rather presumptuous of you to assume that anyone blindly purchases Neil Young or any other music and automatically and uncritically loves it. How many fans have you talked to about this? Do you have documentation obtained by other means to substantiate your claim? It seems more to me that you're just projecting your own negative feelings onto others who may genuinely enjoy music that you don't.

I'll give you an example of how critical I can be. "American Dream" and "Looking Forward" were two big suck ass albums. Based on that history, I hope that CSNY never reunite. If they did, I wouldn't buy whatever product they put out.

You see, I can be critical and not have a need to purchase 100% of a musician's product. When that band has a poor track record, I stay away or at least give something a good listening before purchasing it.
