For me,it's the Fantastic Four.Even if their best days are behind them,they begat the Marvel Age and transformed superheroes.

The Legion of Monsters.

It was a toss-up between the Avengers and the FF. I voted the Avengers because I think of the FF more as a family.

Best is the FF. The toughest is the original four Defenders.

That's all true, but I decided to vote for the Defenders because they star in some of my personal all-time favorite superhero stories.

Hard to choose one, since there are several there who've been very significant at different times. And some like the Champions that I suspect would be considered also-rans by most fans who actually remember them. Well, for that matter I suppose that's what many people think of the Defenders.

For me, it has to be the Avengers because at one point or another, they've featured almost all of Marvel's best characters. I really wish Jack could have done at least 30 or 40 issues, I still think those first 7 or 8 books are the best the title's ever been (and my introduction to Jack Kirby himself). Add in the movies and it's an easy choice.

Second is the Fantastic Four and third is the All-New, All-Different Cockrum / Byrne X-Men -- but other than a few brief high points, both titles have been shadows of their former selves since Jack left FF and Claremont left X-Men.

The Avengers, hands down.

You can even look past the "Big Three" and all of the supporting heroes that made the Avengers their home, and the Avengers made them into fan-favorites over the years.

I bought Avengers before I ever picked up a Fantastic Four or any other Marvel-team comic, so it's Avengers for me.

I went with the Avengers - so many great takes by different creative teams over the years. Too many of the rest of them are tied to a single creative team

X-Men

I changed my mind. I like The Invaders the best.

I did like The Invaders/All-Winners Squad.

Really surprised to see Avengers completely blowing away the Fantastic Four. I'd have thought it would have been closer to even.

Lee and Kirby.

I voted Avengers, but was torn between them or FF.

The original Avengers team, through issue #15.

I'm genuinely shocked that The Legion of Monsters hasn't garnered more votes. Shocked and scandalised. Maybe even appalled. Just a little bit.

I like the Cap and the ex-villains team, from 19-50 or so.

I like those stories but didn't care for them as a team. Original Avengers for me.

I also loved the Roger Stern era, especially when Namor and Hercules were on the team at the same time.
