Description
The first ever Yachts CD collection!

Formed in 1977, the band signed to Stiff Records and released the seminal New Wave classic ‘Suffice To Say’.

Moving to Radar Records, they issued two albums and eight singles and departed the scene in 1982 after a lone 45 for Demon Records.

This 43 track, 3 CD box set features the albums “Yachts” and “Without Radar” plus a disc of previously non LP singles, B-sides and compilation cuts.

Lead Yacht Henry Priestman has overseen the release, providing numerous clippings and memorabilia from his personal collection.

Radio 5 broadcaster Mark Kermode, a self-confessed Yacht-aholic, has provided humorous notes on how the band shaped his growing up!

Further historic sleeve notes have been provided by Les Glover, another “victim” of Yacht-mania!

Most of the tracks are appearing here on CD for the first time.

I can finally stop kicking myself for not shelling out big bucks for Japanese imports at HMV years ago.

Really like this band and have all their lps. I do not have high expectations about Lemon reissues though. I wish Cherry Red would have done these.

Lemon is a subsidiary label of Cherry Red, Rick.

Yeah, I know Linda. That what's confounds me, the few Lemon titles I picked were lacking, kind of how One Way records were.

But there is hope here, the band members are involved so I maybe surprising delighted. I will get this since I have been waiting decades anyway. :wink:
