Description After a very successful live album with 1978’s Live And Dangerous (Friday Music 9999), Thin Lizzy’s Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and newest member Gary Moore (replacing Brian Robertson) went back into the studio with producer great Tony Visconti and recorded one of their most acclaimed works of the classic rock era with Black Rose: A Rock Legend. With 1979’s "Black Rose", this fine band would serve its fans a plethora of hard hitting rockers like "Waiting for an Alibi", "Do Anything You Want To" and the funk infused "Got to Give It Up." Featuring a blazing guitar solo by the late Gary Moore, the Celtic influenced album radiates with the anthem track "Róisín Dubh (Black Rose): A Rock Legend." More hard rock champions like "S&M", "Toughest Street in Town" and the solid balladry of the late Phil Lynott on "Sarah" made this one of their most memorable albums. As a new decade began, Thin Lizzy delivered another fine masterwork with "Chinatown." With latest member Snowy White (Al Stewart/Pink Floyd) replacing Gary Moore on dual lead guitar duties with Scott Gorham, the music soldiered on with extreme precision as you would expect from this power quartet. Filled with more hard rock favorites like "We Will Be Strong", "Hey You", "Killer on the Loose" and the stellar title track "Chinatown", the 1980 rocker would also feature the vocal talents of Ultravox and their acclaimed guitarist Midge Ure. The late Linda McCartney also designed the astounding LP cover making this another classic entry into their already incredible roster of albums. Friday Music is no stranger to the great sounds of Thin Lizzy, therefore we are pleased to announce the first time the deluxe 2 LP's on 1 CD set of "Black Rose: A Rock Legend" & "Chinatown." Both epic releases are now impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso from the original Warner Brothers tapes and are enhanced with the original LP artwork elements.Tracklist Black Rose - A Rock Legend: 1.
