Details can change of course but that's the working title. Rod says 11 originals and a Prefab Sprout song ( possibly Who Invented the snowflake?). Kevin Savigar involved again.

my RS collection is limited to a nice anthology, and a few individual albums. the inclusion of a Paddy McAloon (Prefab Sprout) track would make this an automatic purchase for me.

I don't know the Uriah Heep song, but there is an old sea shanty named "Blood Red Roses". It's been recorded many times, and was featured being sung in John Huston's1956 filming of Moby Dick.
Our boots and clothes is all in pawn Go down, you blood red roses, go down! And its flamin' drafty 'round Cape Horn, Go down, you blood red roses, go down! Oh, you pinks and posies, Go down, you blood red roses, go down!
It's 'round that cape we all must go Around all stiff through the frost and snow. Oh my old mother, she wrote to me, My dearest son, come home from sea. It's growl you may, but go you must, If you growl too hard your head they'll bust. Just one more pull and that will do For we're the boys to kick her through.
That may appeal to Rod, especially the last few lines.

Rod has said he has done a McAloon song called "Who invented the snowflake?"...but maybe he has done another because that sounds lihe a Christmas album track.

Single Didn't I made AC chart #10 and next track Look in her eyes had first play on BBC R2 yesterday...uptempo...good hook but some clunky lyrics. Sounds like mix between his Human stuff and Cher's Believe..
