One of his better solo albums, if not the best. I'll be in for this one.

i have been on a mission for years to obtain matthews whole catalog........not an east task whatsoever....many different labels...many different incarnations of albums.....and some real oddities in there too.

Agree, this is a good one. I have the Castle CD, which has all these tracks plus several new acoustic recordings of songs from the original LP. I didn't get this album or the 2cd version of "Plainsong" on the Water label until a few years ago, though I'd been a big fan since the early 70's. I had never heard them, and didn't realize how good they were.

I have the Japan SHM CD. I didn't know about the uber priced significantly expanded 2006 Castle until Linda brought it to my attention. I'd like to get that, but can't afford...... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GYHXO6/?tag=imwan-20Before the SHM I had the TERRIBLE Line cd, & I was thrilled just to get a good sounding cd!

Here's more: Blue Rose Mushroom (Vinyl Only) Perfect Pitch (one of his self owned labels) Varese Coast To Coast (one of his self owned labels) Unique Gravity (one of his self owned labels) Dirty (one of his self owned labels) Omnivore First American (Vinyl only) Rockville Castle Sanctuary (& as mentioned above) Talking Elephant I no longer have the vinyl, but I believe the MCA stuff was originally on Decca. At least the MSC releases.

Great album, I have three versions (Mooncrest, Line and Sanctuary) so I will pass on this one.
