I'm very much focussing on my own music these days, but will certainly keep slotting in the remix projects whenever I can. The other already completed mixes, Roxy Music's debut and Tears for Fears "Seeds of Love", remain in a holding pattern. I hope both will come out next year, but then the Roxy album has been "next year" every year since I did it in 2012!

A semi-update from Super Deluxe Edition, but this really doesn't say squat.
NEWS Bryan Ferry confirms Roxy Music box
Another year, another promise…
Bryan Ferry has revealed that the long-awaited and much delayed box set of Roxy Music‘s 1972 eponymous debut will be released in November.
Speaking to the Santa Barbara Noozhawk website the 71-year old said “This November, we are releasing a new special edition box set of the first Roxy Music album, complete with the original demo recordings and loads of previously unpublished photographs”.
Before fans get their hopes up too much, it should be noted that Ferry had previously told another journalist that this would be delivered last year… “probably, July 2016”.
Steven Wilson has told his fans that he has remixed this album for 5.1 surround sound, but while Ferry mentioned the demos in his fairly casual comment, there was no mention of the 5.1 mix (he had previously made reference to a DVD). Let’s hope that content hasn’t been dropped.
More news on this when SDE gets it.

Rock stars sure don't have marketing skills do they?
One exception is Steven Wilson himself, who is extremely effective in marketing his own music and others with his enthusiasm about the work he does for other people.
If I was Bryan Ferry i'd be talking up his music, and offering as much insight as possible.

Bump: Universal has scheduled the release of this box set for February 2nd. Pre-order links can be found in the first post (only the UK is active so far).

Bump: Added the packshot, description and tracklist to the first post. The initial solicitation from Universal UK doesn't provide full details for the tracks on CD2 and the DVD -- hopefully those will be elaborated on soon.

I'm disappointed in the lack of a Wilson 2.0 mix as well, especially considering that for Record Store Day 2015, Roxy released a 10" EP including Wilson's remixes for "Ladytron" and "The Numberer" and the back cover states "Taken from the forthcoming Super Deluxe Edition of ROXY MUSIC". Though I picked up the vinyl, I've been waiting for the past two years for this to be released on CD and/or DVD. This set doesn't even include "The Numberer" at all.

Guys, this might be a good idea to lock in right now -- the Amazon Canada pre-order listing for the big box has appeared, and it's currently more than $100 cheaper than the UK cost:

I feel this 'Super Deluxe' edition of Roxy Music's 1st Album is incomplete without "The Numberer" (the non-LP B-side of "Virginia Plain").
Yes, it really is part of the era and sessions for the album. It should include the original mix and Wilson's remix, which runs 15 seconds longer. His remix for "Ladytron" adds about three minutes.
