Back in the late 1990s up to about 2010 there were 1000s of people selling DVDs in China

I'm working in China again and now you can't even buy a DVD player!

Things have changed dramatically here. I can't find a single place to buy any movies not even a pirated CD etc....

I will say fashion here has improved big time, the clothing range is amazing.

Wonder why? I've never heard that China cares about piracy.

Tried again today, found a technology supermarket 4-5 stories of electronics, computers etc

No DVDs, not even a DVD drive!

When things change here they really change fast

Do they still have CD stores over there?

Just shows you how slow we are to change here but over in Europe and China (it seems) they are light years ahead of us technology wise.

Wow. I am surprised. Not that people would switch over to digital downloads, but that you
can't seem to even find evidence of DVDs in the place.

According to the Tower Records documentary, there are still large CD stores in Japan but maybe China never had as big a love affair.
