Don't often see crowd-funded CD/album projects here (so if not allowed, please delete) but I stumbled upon this one on Kickstarter and it "clicked" with me. The song samples on the project video sound to me like a melding of Pugwash and The Thorns. In the project description the band names "Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Queen, and The Beatles" as inspirations (aim high!).

As of late Sunday (26-Nov), they have only 4 days left and are still about $2200 short of a modest $5000 goal. I've pledged and I suspect there might be several potential fans on these boards.
