The release list has been announced, and links are now active in the first post. It's about 90% vinyl, with just four titles on CD including the Y Kant Tori Read reissue from Rhino.

If they price the Tori fair ($10 or less) I'll bite.

Last time I bought A RD CD it sucked, was overpriced, later went into general release.

Oh, it will surely get a general release, probably late next year. In the meantime we'll have this RSD pressing of the CD all over Amazon for months.

I'll be checking out Y Kant Tori Read, the Zappa 12", maybe a couple others. I'll look for the Ingrid Michaelsen, but I don't expect to find it.

The Reed/Kristofferson is out as a lossless digital download. Their are a number in that series. None have interested me enough so far to get 1. Mostly because none of pairings make any sense to me.

Vin Scelsa was one of my favorite DJ's from WNEW-FM in NYC. Another reason for my interest in these titles.

Not a very exciting line-up this year. All I am interested in are the Zappa LP, the Y Kant Tori Read LP and/or CD and Richard Hell & the Voidoids LP and/or CD. They are all "RSD First" so if I can't find them on Black Friday they'll be available in a few months.

I want to hear the Tori & see if it's an upgrade from the boot before spending any money.

I've never heard the album so as long as the price is reasonable I will pick it up.

You've listened to the recent digital release, right? Good or bad, it should serve as an excellent harbinger of the forthcoming CD...

I've never done a Record Store Day, but I'd like to get the Y Kant Tori Read. So how do I go about getting one? This isn't some kind of deal where you have to camp out overnight, is it?

Third party sellers will flood Amazon with them after the event, like they've done for every RSD release since the beginning. You won't miss out.

The Black Friday version isn't quite as intense as the spring one. Since Y Kant Tori Read is BFRSD First, be patient - that means a general release is coming. It may pull some higher prices in the first couple weeks after BFRSD, but the general release will temper that.

The only remotely interesting thing I found was the Doors "Absolutely Live". Not a sniff of anything else close to what I was hoping for. At least the Y Kant Tori Read is a RSD First, not exclusive.

I got the Richard Hell CD, but couldn't find the Y Kant Tori Read CD. I asked a couple of the retailers who said they didn't get any Tori discs. I could've picked up the vinyl, but I doubt I'd play it much.
