here's the skinny:
1- same tracks as digital original set - track list below
2- same outer artwork as shown above, plus OBI.
3- inside the clamshell box you get the 4 studio albums in mini-lp replica style - including gatefold where applicable.
4- each title comes with full liner notes and the cd in the traditional rice-paper sleeve.
5- booklet with overview/essay in japanese, with the lyrics for songs on disc 5 "10 Extras" at the back of that booklet.
6- all material in this box is NOT remastered.

there are edits, remixes, alternate versions, etc. not included; so it ain't perfect.
but it is a rather sweet early Cheap Xmas gift to myself. ENJOY

i really like the convenience of it, and i certainly appreciate the bonus disc (same bonus material as in the MVI box, but without the double-disc sets - unnecessary to my collection). but YES, i absolutely wish it were all remastered.

I've got the Nightfly Trilogy MVI box (which includes the same rarities disc) and Condos. So I don't need this at all.

Fagen's last couple of albums don't need a remastering, unless it's to do it without compression and throw in some dynamic range.

Funny how the Steely Dan catalog has been remastered and reissued a few times, but Fagen's never has. You would think at least The Nightfly would have gotten the treatment by now.

Seriously, you should consider getting this box now that there's a reasonably priced domestic pressing, so that you'll have a physical copy of everything rather than iTunes "air". I know how much you love Steely Dan.

Well...technically...The Nightfly and Kamakiriad did get remastered on the respective DVD-A and MVI high resolution Stereo streams. I made CDs of those years ago, and they've been my go-to ever since. Bob Ludwig found some bass in them. Never understood why they weren't ported over to the CDs included in that box.
