Hopefully this will be a fun thread....(and not die past my posts)
Bizarre/awkward appearances by musicians on TV shows or whatever else.
These 2 will give you an idea of what I'm looking for.................
Patti Smith - Kids Are People Too (You knew I'd start a thread with this)
Patti Smith appears on a kids TV show, does a Q&A, and sings "You Light Up My Life." This also includes Joseph Brooks who would have his own problems years later.

The Cowsills - Playboy After Dark
Hugh Hefner's recent passing reminded me of this. Susan Cowsill steals the show with her answer to Hugh Hefner's question (at the 1:00 mark)......and then some crazy dance moves. Barbera Cowsill looks slightly uncomfortable being there. 2 of the 3 song choices were religious.

I don't know about Crosby, but Joe Walsh was a regular for a season or two on the Drew Carey Show.

Renny would know this, what Buffalo Springfield song was played with the bass player upfront sitting on a stool but back to the camera? Was it on the Hollywood Palace?

Another Buffalo Springfield appearance, this time on the cool detective show 'Mannix'
Buffalo Springfield in the background but playing live ("Bluebird" and then "For what it's Worth") on a Mannix TV show from 1967. They even gave them credits at the end of the show.
