Mmmm not bad but no Elemental? Love that song. Glad to see Break It Down Again and Closest Thing To Heaven.
Played a lot of TFF while I was in Europe back last May.
Should have "Goodnight Song", "God's Mistake" and "Call Me Mellow" which were all minor hit singles or radio hits in the US and happen to be 3 of my favorite TFF songs.
I'll still pick this up even though I have everything by them.
I'd guess the 2 new songs end up on the next album due out soon.

In for the 2 new songs. Hope they do NOT also appear on the forthcoming album, but I expect that their appearance here is only a preview of what's to come. I also suspect that new studio album will be further delayed due to this.

question:
anyone have any of curt smith's 4 solo albums?
good? bad? indifferent?
hard to find for sure. in fact, i doubt i've ever seen a single one in brick and mortar.
YES to all four questions.
so:
they are good
and
bad
and
indiferent
and
you have all 4
yes. there are truly some awful songs in the mix... but the ship is saved by some lovely gems as well. i've collected all my favorites onto one CDR for use in the car - i don't think i'd listen to the discs otherwise, in their entirety.

I have all 5 (actually) and will pull them out regularly for a listen. I've listened the most to 'Soul On Board' and 'Mayfield' and really enjoy them! The other three, 'Aeroplane', 'Halfway Pleased', and 'Deceptively Heavy' are mellower listens (for me). ALL were considerably more difficult to acquire than seemed reasonable and I bought them more or less as they were released. Worth the effort, I would say!

thanks ( to both of you)
i've read that 'aeroplane" is "mayfield" with a couple of additional songs...true?
what surprised me, and from what i was able to listen to on the internet, smith had a lot more lead vocal parts in tears for fears that i ever realized.
and they are all still very hard to get for any kind of decent price.

I've always considered 'Aeroplane' a separate--albeit brief--release and wasn't aware that they added the 'Mayfield' tracks to it on releases outside of the U.S. I do remember being very confused at the time by information about this record and I'm still remembering stuff differently than what I've just been reading.
btw: just checked Amazon and all are available for around $20 or less each -- be quick!
And: I purchased 'Deceptively Heavy' thru Amazon and it was/is only available on CD-R so caveat emptor!

if i read things correctly, 'aeroplane' was only released in canada. it has all of the 'mayfield ' plus 5 additional cuts that were available on a U.S. release called "aeroplane" that was an EP.
tough to decipher what little info is out there for sure.
and really when you consider how big tears for fears was/are it is amazing how little attention the 4 or 5 curt smith and 1 roland orazabol album got on their own.
