I think the Rhino box set was for North America and this one is for Europe. This stuff almost made sense 30 years ago but it seems pointless now with it being so easy to order things and have them shipped overseas. BTW, the Rhino version (Decade of Dio) is readily available at Amazon UK for a pretty reasonable price (26 GBP), so it's not like anyone in Europe would have a hard time purchasing one of those.

Also have to disagree with ted, while those five albums may not all be considered classic the first four in this box set are excellent. For 12 GBP (even less when subtracting out the VAT), this is a wonderful bargain for modest Dio/metal/hard rock fans that don't have these albums in their collection.

No way.

Sacred Heart is very good, Dream Evil is excellent and I also have always been a huge fan of Lock Up The Wolves.

It should be called 5 Damn Good Albums.

Also, I doubt this is the new mastering used in the US.

Spectrum is a budget label of Universal and I'd guess they are using those remasters by Andy Pearce which were great.

Hey, if you guys like it, more power to you.

Holy Diver was one of the first albums I bought with my own money. I love both of those first 2 albums and still play them regularly. I like a good chunk of Sacred Heart, but found very little of Dream Evil that did much for me. I never even bothered to buy Lock Up the Wolves after I heard a friend's copy.

But hey, it's art.
