Description
This latest addition to the From The Vault series captures a truly unique event in the long and eventful history of The Rolling Stones. On the May 20th, 2015 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, California, the band performed the entire Sticky Fingers album live in concert for the first and so far only time in their career. The show celebrated the reissue of the Sticky Fingers album and was the opening night of The Rolling Stones Zip Code Tour of North America that would run over the next two months. The intimate setting of the Fonda Theatre was in contrast to the huge stadiums in which the band would perform for the rest of the tour and made this an incredibly special occasion for those fans lucky enough to get a ticket. The DVD include interviews with the band members intercut with full length performances.

My favorite Stones album!

I've heard some bad things about Ronnie's playing from some fans.

Any truth to that?

They mentioned "Sway" and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" in particular.

I wasn't at this show, but I have to say after hearing Mick Taylor play with them not too long before these shows, it makes me a little sad that those aren't the shows they decided to sell.

Wish this was 1971 & not 2015.

Tracks cut from the concert film..... why do the powers-that-be do that? Isn't it easier to just leave them as they were played? They did the same thing to the Cuba show.

Is their any info on the blu-ray audio sampling & bit rates? As I mentioned in the Jeff Beck thread, Eagle tends to brickwall & go either 48/24 or 48/16. I'm hoping in both cases they'll get a clue, buy a vowel & go uncompressed 96/24.

I can't believe they are intercutting the concert cuts with interview segments. Talk about how to destroy the continuity of the gig ! In my opinion , that is just plain lame

I'm shocked to say this, but as a Stones nut, I am not interested in this.

I don't know why bands continue to do this. At the very least, give me the option to watch the concert portion straight through. This and the style where they cut from performance to performance mid-song (especially with varying audio quality) are two reasons to almost always disqualify a concert DVD from consideration. Years ago, I bought an Alanis Morissette video that cut between performances. I watched it once and gave it away. My wife's co-worker said he'd take it and asked her how much. I said I wouldn't feel right taking his money.
