'i can see for miles" - i think they dropped the song by at least 2 octaves, if not 3.

7 of them on stage (guess entwistle and moon were THAT good)

and jimmy fallon actually makes me want to puke. if you didn't see him after the song, i can't even put into words how disgusting his fake adoration was.

I agree with you, but all of these stupid TV hosts have that fake adoration. I think that they have to got school in order to perfect that before they're given a show.

i don't know larry, of them all colbert seems the most down to earth, kimmel is, well kimmel (he can be over the top, but rarely gets to be a slobbering fool) fallon on the other hand is just an ass, nothing he does is funny and the way he drools over everyone who goes on that show is truly sickening....and he absolutely needs to go to the howard stern school of how to interview someone, he just does a terrible job, just terrible. i rarely, if ever leave his show on for more than 30 seconds, but when i have, i have yet to hear fallon ask one pertinent question of anyone. i really don't know how he stays on the air, i know colbert has passed him in the ratings, has kimmel passed him yet?

I haven't watched Fallon in months (can't get into why here), but he makes Jay Leno look like a hard-hitting interviewer. Constant fawning, gooey-eyed adoration.

These shows are primarily promotional tools, so you're not going to get any really tough questions, but there's a difference between gushing over the person and having a real conversation. Colbert hits a decent balance. Haven't watched Corden in a while, but he struck me as more to the Fallon side. Kimmel is close to Colbert. I haven't seen enough of Seth Myers to get a good feel. To me, this is why Craig Ferguson stood out so much - he treated the promotional stuff as something they had to get out of the way, then actually talked to the guest. He could make people who shouldn't be interesting interesting. I was disappointed that he didn't get the Late Show, but it didn't take long to realize that it wouldn't have worked.

I concur.

Jimmy Kimmel has come a long way, I think. I prefer him over Conan.

We always watch Kimmel's opening monologue and bits before bed each night (as the show follows Eyewitness News) and we enjoy him. Easy going fella. His Drunk Trump is to die for. Hilarious! :)

Conan is at Comic Con this weeks so that's also a good one to check out.

All of them together don't have the viewership that Johnny Carson drew by himself.

Fallon is a hack, but the college crowd adores him.

Kimmel is OK, but is a company kiss-ass doing Bachelor and Bachelorette interviews that are beyond sickening.

Corden's act has already worn thin, and he sucks at interviews and laughs too much, but he's tolerable.

Colbert's show is lousy, but he does the best interviews.

Myers is boring.

Late night is a disaster area with plummeting ratings.

Make them and their unfunny monologues go away.

As for The Who, I didn't see it.

DVRed it. Just watched it. I'm not sure who is more pitiful, Fallon or what's left of The Who.

Watched the clips and they don't sound bad at all.

As usual, the bass is non-existent.

We may go see them in AC tomorrow, but only because my girlfriend would really like to go.

It's not sold out.

When I last saw them in 2015 I was underwhelmed so I'll have to decide soon what we do.

Fallon is a jack-ass by the way.

"A Closer Look" is required viewing. But I have no idea what the rest of his show is like.

We opted to skip the show.

I wasn't thrilled in 2015, so why would I go now?

Dinner and a movie wins.

Im a big Who fan but lately I can take em or leave them. It's not really The Who anymore but still I have seen almost every NY show since about 1978. Each time they come through you think this will be the last chance to see Roger and Pete yet they continue on.
Just wish they would do a deep cuts tour but no money in that I guess, it's always Behind Blue Eyes.

Maybe their next album could be called Who's Left.
