Remember when "remastered" was almost always a god thing? These remasters are much better than the awful 2017 average remaster, but the 2001 expanded UK Sanctuary's are better.
I never thought I'd prefer older versions of cd's, as especially the first gen's were terrible; but they're still often better than the garbage masters of 2017 made with the least common denominator I pod generation in mind.

I don't really understand this. You say you thought you'd "never prefer older versions of CD's". However, I feel that 2/3 of your posts are bemoaning this very thing. Your post would have been OK if you stuck with "These remasters are much better than the awful 2017 average remaster, but the 2001 expanded UK Sanctuary's are better." But once again, you take an opportunity to work in your feelings about CD's, which is already clear in your signature, into the many threads.

I think Geff has "dog" ears. He hears "EVERYTHING". Not so with me at my age.

I own the older box set and all of the Japan reissues, there is enough unreleased stuff on here to make me interested. Ordered.
Barry, did you get this and if so had a chance to listen? I'm very close in pulling the trigger on this since I have only one disc in my collection and some used records.
