Strangely I was talking to Jimbo last night that my earliest memory of watching TV was Batman during the 1966-67 season when I was 6. We weren't really a TV family in those days and it was B&W. But Batman was the bomb for a 6 year old.
Now I wake up to this terrible news.
RIP Adam West, my Batman.

UNITED! UNITED!
West Ham United fight song.
It had to happen some time. A classic hero, a childhood memory, and a continuing presence in popular culture with his iconic voice. He gave us so much. He will be missed.
He was so cool. His show was so much fun. Everybody wanted to be on it, even Frank Sinatra.
Glad he lived to see it FINALLY get to DVD and get a few pennies for it but more importantly that the legacy continues. As it will forever!
Thanks Mr. West for all the fun and memories. RIP, we all love you.
I wonder why Sinatra never appeared? Scheduling conflict?
I assume he would have done a window cameo, as I can't imagine him playing one of the guest villains.
Oh, I don't know Dr. Chris. He loved the camp of the show. Probably scheduling issues and maybe his agents kind of resisted his interest.
Mr. Sinatra is on record saying he just loved the show. Like John Lennon getting a kick of 'The Monkee's' tv show. These icons had a great sense of humor as well.
THE best TV show opening ever, bar none. Watched six eps tonight, was never tempted to skip the theme. From the running opening to the morph into the logo, to the unshakeable anticipation of hearing Batgirl's motorcycle even when I know it's not coming.
Not going to repeat my post from upstairs, but I got to meet Adam West a couple years ago, and it was everything I could have hoped it would be.
