While I love the music, I hate it when they reissue these old Handmade titles. It kind of galls me that I spent good money on something that was supposedly limited, only to be reissued later at a way cheaper price.

I got this exact set nearly a decade ago, and it was from Rhino. Seems less like a reissue and more likely to me that they had some unsold units sitting in their warehouse and are simply clearing them out.

It's a repack, not unsold units of the original Handmade pressing.

Everything that was on Handmade will eventually be repacked for general release via Rhino or Wounded Bird.

Like Fraxon I have the very large box that contains these excellent show. Let's hope we see a Handmade reissue of "Headquarters" in the near future.

I prefer to look at it another way. I am happy to have had these amazing shows in my collection for the past 10 years. If you had told me 10 years ago that if I wait a decade the price will go down, I still would have bought when I did.One thing I'm sure we can all agree on is that record companies are greedy and they do stuff like this.

Handmade made it clear from Day 1 that any of their titles might eventually find general release, so there's no "gotcha" here.

I must have missed that memo - Then why number them in the first place and then why later on have a request on their website as to see which title would get another limited edition repress

Maybe they did, but if so, it sure wasn't stated very well.

I only bought two titles (the Black Sabbath which I quickly sold for $100 before it was added to the Mob Rules remaster, and the shitty Chicago '75 which I sold for $50 a few days after I got it.)

As mentioned above I do hope Headquarters Sessions is coming out again? But I have my doubts that it ever will.
