Description
The No Plan EP was originally released digitally on January 8th, 2017 the day after would have been David Bowie's 70th Birthday. The release reached #1 on the iTunes charts of 11 countries including the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Finland and Sweden, and broke the Top 20 in more than 30 territories. The No Plan EP is now being made available on CD and vinyl formats. The vinyl version is pressed on heavyweight 180g black vinyl that includes a special laser etching on side B and is housed in new artwork designed by longtime collaborator Jonathan Barnbrook. The No Plan EP features the single 'Lazarus' from Blackstar, and the three final David Bowie studio recordings during the sessions for his 28th and final album Blackstar "No Plan," "Killing A Little Time" and "When I Met You." The track "No Plan" was hailed by Rolling Stone who ranked it at #4 in their 50 Best Songs of 2016 as "a magnificent coda... one last transmission from the Bowie universe."

If anyone other than me cares, this is another brickwalled release: DR6.

It would really be nice to find some digital version of the Next Day & Blackstar material that isn't brickwalled. The only option I know of at all is needle drops; which don't sound as good in other ways & are missing many of the extra tracks associated with these albums.

There are DR10 bare bones editions of Blackstar; & a DR10 17 track Next Day both on Vinyl

I didn't know it had the Bowie EP with it. Not interested in hearing "Dexter" sing "Heroes".

Physical release on the way on CD!

Now I can buy it as I had no interest in a digital download or the full cast soundtrack release.

David Bowie‘s No Plan EP is to be released on CD and special vinyl formats.

The four-track EP was previously a digital-only release, but will now be available physically, including a limited edition made-to-order numbered die-cut package with 12” white vinyl and an exclusive artwork lithograph that will be available to pre-order for a limited time only.

The EP features Bowie’s final studio recordings, made during the sessions for his 28th and final album, ★.

All vinyl configurations of the No Plan EP feature a special laser etching on side B. The No Plan EP artwork has been designed by longtime Bowie collaborator Jonathan Barnbrook.

The No Plan EP will be available on CD from February 24 and 12″ vinyl from April 21.

A limited edition made-to-order die-cut 12″ vinyl will be out on May 26.
