Description
The late Paul Kantner was the founder for the JEFFERSON AIRPLANE and later JEFFERSON STARSHIP. Venusian Love Songs was part of a project Paul began back in 2011 which was originally intended to release a new volume of music every few months. Playing with Kantner on this studio recording are DAVE FRIEBERG (QUICKSILVER MESANGER SERVICE, JEFFERSON STARSHIP), long time guitar compadre SLICK AGUILAR (STARSHIP), CATHY RICHARDSON from STARSHIP. Co pilot from JEFFERSON AIRPLANE MARTY BALIN also guests with fellow AIRPLANE and HOT TUNA bassist JACK CASADY. Along with original material there's a slew of great covers including The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" and a mash up that blends U2's "Pride In The Name Of Love" with Balin's "Miracles" and Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech.

Maybe for me. FW usually goes into clearance fairly quickly, so may be worth holding off. I'm also not a Cathy Richardson fan. Pity Diana Magnano didn't stay until the end.
