So excited to see this announced! Some of the bonus content is a little odd though.

The inclusion of the MTV Unplugged show is very cool, but strange since it was from 1996 and promoting the "Older" album. I believe this is the first time it's been released legitimately in its entirety though. It's interesting that they didn't include it on the DVD as well. That would have been nice, but maybe that's being saved for a potential "Older" deluxe edition.

I'm glad they are including the "Too Funky" single, remixes and b-sides since they were intended for the never completed "Volume 2." (I notice they have dropped the "Volume 1" from the title.)

It's also interesting that they only included 2 of the 3 b-sides from the "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" single. They left off "I Believe (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever)."

"Desafinado" was from 1998's "Ladies and Gentlemen" and the McCartney duet of "Heal The Pain" was from 2006's "Twenty Five." (Although, that one kind of makes sense given the original version was a LWP track.)

Does anyone know if this is a Blu-Ray edition of this set ? ..

No, those are Japanese import "Blu-spec CD" editions. Not Blu-rays.

Received notice that my estimated arrival date is now "May 27 2017 - June 02 2017."

The dates are not yet reflected at Amazon USA, but Sony says that both formats have now been rescheduled as holiday season releases, pushed all the way back to October 20th.

They post a photo of the seemingly complete product, and then push the release date back by months? How does that work?

At this rate, it'll be the 28th anniversary before it comes out.

George Michael's First Posthumous Single Debuting Thursday. Although not formally confirmed, Nile Rogers appeared to imply on Twitter that the song was going to be his remix of the Faith-era track "Fantasy."

Rogers took part in an documentary on Michael before the pop star's unexpected death on Christmas Day 2016, and had played the remix while on tour with Chic this summer.

In a statement posted on his website, Michael's sisters reassured fans that Michael's creative team at Sony Records "will continue bringing you all the projects they had been working so hard on for you, exactly as Yog would have wanted." Between his planned 2017 release, songs kept in limbo during Michael's legal battles in the '90s and the false starts at following up 2004's Patience, an estimated three albums's worth of material has been left unsurfaced. These, along with known collaborations with Rogers and producer Naughty Boy, still have no release date.

Interesting to note that the deluxe box set does have the Nile Rodgers remix of Fantasy listed as being on Disc 2, however it is, indeed, NOT included ..
