I've never heard of the label and I doubt that Allan has any say in this but I will keep my eye on this release. It would be nice to have all that of Holdsworth in one place.

The saw Allan in NYC two years ago, a still stunning guitar player.

I saw him play live back in the late 1990's, and it changed my life. It was amazing to be in a pub, just sitting there, hearing him play while watching him do stuff that seemed superhuman, all with the greatest of ease.

I may well have to get this!

Incredible guitarist, hopefully it is the same quality as Manifesto's other sets.

I've been a huge fan since I heard Tony Wiliiams' Believe It album in the '70s—always been one of my desert island LPs. Saw AH for the first time with UK in 1978 at Penn's Landing in Philly. Saw him again in 1983 at Ripley's in Philly when he had Jeff Berlin and Chad Wackerman (Steve Morse's great trio opened up). 1986 was the last time I saw him when his trio was the great Gary Husband and Gary Willis (one of the rare times Willis toured with AH). I have all AH's LPs as well as a large selection of quality gray area live recordings. Youtube has loads of great live Holdsworth. A truly astounding talent.

I have several Holdsworth albums but if the price comes down this will be a great way to expand my collection. Saw him at my college in '87. Amazing show, even though he spent more time on the synth axe than the guitar. I enjoyed the moment when I yelled out "Pud Wud" and seconds later he introduced the next song with, "This is called 'Pud Wud'." The guys in front of me looked at me like I was a psychic, but it was just fortunate timing.

It's that one or Metal Fatigue for me, but my two favorite albums with Holdsworth are U.K.'s self-titled debut and Believe It by The Tony Williams lifetime

I spent years believing it was Holdsworth who'd played guitar on Cliff Richard's song Wired For Sound before learning it was most likely Alan Tarney who actually did. There are still people who maintain it was Allan Holdsworth (uncredited) playing on that song, though.

U.K. really hated in losing him but according to the U.K. box Alan had major stage fright issues and didn't like the touring.

Unbelievable guitarist, nothing ever was better than the first U.K. album with Alan H. on lead guitar. My God, where they could have gone?

Let's not forget his amazing work with The Tony Williams Lifetime on the "Believe It" album. Jaw-dropping stuff.

I have the 2004 CD release of Believe It that includes two previously unreleased tracks: Celebration, and Letsby.

This is something I posted here a few years back: I have four recordings featuring Holdsworth that I cannot identify. He is not the leader (I think the keyboardist/singer is), but is featured on several tunes: "Rearrange", "Your Very Absence Perfumes The Air," and two others including a killer instrumental I believe is called "Bender" that has alternating bars in 7/8 and 9/8 throughout. I think Tony Levin is the bassist (sure sounds like him), and the guitarist is Holdsworth shredding his ass off. All excellent studio recordings. I snagged these courtesy of the vast internet, and I'll be damned if I can't find them there anymore.
