Interesting. I have the original CD pressing (although not the import with the wrong version of WGGOTP) and the Columbia box. I had no idea it had been remastered any other time.

I have three versions of this - the original CD, the deluxe edition and the complete albums box. Not sure, but this might have been remastered for the deluxe.

I'd rather have a new reissue of On Your Feet Or On Your Knees

Oh crap, I just realized I have the deluxe too. Forgot about the DVD.

So I guess I have 3 versions (not including the vinyl).

I can't imagine BOC have a thing to do with this.

I'm guess whatever label this is, they licensed it for overseas.

It won't get any better than the Deluxe which is also in the massive box where every disc sports the best sound you can get.

The version in the box was a slight upgrade. Louder, but also clearer if I remember correctly.

Yeah, Buck told me years ago that they still owed Columbia (Sony) money, and I doubt the catalog has sold enough to have made much of a difference. They don't own the tapes so I'm sure this is purely Sony selling someone a reissue license to milk some more cash out of the catalog.

I guess that explains the Culture Factory reissues as well.

I was told the Sony/Legacy box did very well.

Do you know if that was true or not?

And have the CMC albums ever been remastered? I don't think so.

I haven't seen much of Buck since leaving the East Coast, so I don't know (we never really talked much about business - he preferred it that way). Both of the Bouchard brothers are on Facebook and pretty approachable, so you might be able to ask them.

I'm not aware of any CMC remasters though.
