I had read this was being remastered.

Is this indeed true?

I assume the cassette bonus tracks are not included by looking at the track listing?

This was a very good live album and way better than Delicate Sound Of Thunder.

I love this album. Went to this concert and agree, "Pulse" is a great memento of that tour. I have pre-ordered!

Yep, like Rick, I saw this tour in Irving, Texas (Apr. 28, 1994 at Texas Stadium). I bought this on CD when it came out and also bought the VHS of the show when that came out.

Actually, the original disc sounds pretty good to this day, but I may have to bite on this once the price drops.

It was such great tour, wasn't it Mark? Actually it was my first Pink Floyd show and I was blown away. I expect the re-master to be significantly better I but I will not part with the original. (I should replace the battery for the blinking light). :ohyes:

Here's a cool story you may like, this show was played in the old Tampa Bay Stadium which was across the street to my work place at IBM. During the sound check you can hear crystal clear. I kept going outside so often my boss joking asked did I take on smoking (only outside for that by this time). I said "For today, Yes".

There was a bootleg released called "Just Warmin' Up: The Rehearsals In Tampa Album" (which I have of course) that documents this. The Tampa concert was on May 6th, 1994. One of the best concert memories in my life.

I also bought the CD version with the blinking light but make sure you replace the battery once a year. I didn't and the battery leaked out all over the compartment ruining it, I loved that blinking light.

Yeah, that show was beyond awesome and better than their 87-88 tour. I was amazed at the stage show. Plus, I really like The Division Bell. I wore it out back then, and I still think it's one of the best things they've done.

That must've been cool to hear that sound check. Man. :sigh:

I saw them on A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour..... twice. The first was their second of three nights at Dallas' Reunion Arena (Nov 21, 22, 23 of '87). The second was at Texas Stadium ( Apr 28 of '88). It was just that one show. Then the Pulse tour came to Texas Stadium once more. I went to the first of two nights. Amazingly, the date was the same.... Apr 28 (1994).

Here's your show. Compare the set list to mine.....

Wasn't the original Master recording 44/16 digital? I still don't understand (other then EQ, Reverb & brickwalling) how it is possible to remaster a 44/16 master tape. It's as good as it's going to get unless they really fubarred the eq; you can't remove anything other than EQ & I guess master volume, but I don't see any benwefit to the later; & very little to the former if the original engineers were remotely competent.

It's kind of like the idiocy of reissuing the 44/16 master tapes of Cowboy Junkies masterpiece as an SACD. That will not cause improvement. It can't. Other then POSSIBLY judicious minor eq boosts.

This is a GREAT album, I just don't see ANY benefit in a remaster. My apologies if I'm wrong & the master was Analog. I KNOW I am correct regarding the Cowboys Junkies reference.

It was recorded in analog but I have no information as to if the final master was done in digital.

The bonus tracks were "One of These Days" which would be at the end of CD1 and "Soundscape" which would be at the end of CD2.

The original CD was done right the first time. Reinvesting in this one would be a complete waste of money. Wait for the 3 CD version they will release 2 years from now that will include the cassette bonus tracks and some other songs that were played on this tour but weren't included on the album (On the Turning Away, Poles Apart, Lost for Words, Take It Back, One Slip, Marooned).

i took the battery out long ago, never replaced it, i figured if i did i would forget about it and then the corrosion you experienced would happen to me.

Then 2 years after that, they'll do another release with Rick's soundcheck. After that, who knows? :D

I saw this tour in Philly in June 1994 and it was brilliant.

I saw Floyd 3 times and I think this was the best tour.

Pulse was a great live album, but I don't see any uber-edition ever happening.

The DVD didn't include the missing songs (it added one), and this is probably all there will be.

I still have my blinking light from 1995.

I was hoping that "Soundscape" and "One Of These Days" would be on here.

"Soundscape" is independent of the Endless River and I remember hearing it in the background for a good 15-20 minutes as we waited for the band to come on and play.

This is remastered, correct?

Is there anything different about the booklet?
