If there is another thread devoted to this band, I'll let Linda merge it into that thread. Unfortunately, the name of this band makes it impossible to find a specific thread devoted to them. "OK" and "Go" are too common words in many of the thread titles.
But it really wasn't their music in general that I wanted to talk about. I just saw a video they made which was released just before Christmas and is being used by Morton Salt to promote their charity "Walk Her Walk." It is one of the most jaw-dropping videos I've seen in a long, LONG time. And the song itself isn't bad, either.
P.S. I know it probably isn't him, but that guy I see at the end with the chainsaw looks like Michael from "VSauce"...

I just saw one video they did where they recruited fans in movie theatres to be instrument player by using their cel phones, stomping their feet, and snapping their fingers. It sounds really good, but my jaw dropped for two reasons. First, this is a really, REALLY good song. Secondly, I knew that I heard it before. So I went on YouTube, and I can't believe that I forgot this video. I actually went and bought the "package" for this song on iTunes. May have to consider getting an album for my birthday although I wonder why they don't sell DVDs/blue rays of their videos.
Anyway, here is OK Go's classic "Needing/Getting":
I can certainly understand purists who believe that the only proper way to play this song is by driving a Chevy Sonic, though:
This is how OK Go plays their song when they can't use their car:
