Although marketed as an album of new recordings, it was actually a compilation of "leftover" songs from Melanie's time at that label and released without her consent, after she left to form her own record label. Two of the songs had been previously released on the soundtrack album to the movie R. P. M. (produced by Barry de Vorzon & Perry Botkin, Jr.) in 1970. The song "People in the Front Row" was later sampled by Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods for their song "The Nosebleed Section". Tracklist 1. Garden In The City 2. Love In My Mind 3. Melanie Safka first attracted national attention when she stepped onto the stage at Woodstock, the summer of '69. As dawn broke, and rain began to fall, she performed on a stage that transformed a generation and changed music forever. I love Music & hate brickwalled audio Joined: 27 Sep 2006 Posts: 37646 Location: The Pasture	To me, a Melanie Best Of is Gather Me & Candles In The Rain. I know Gather is available in the UK. Not sure about Candles at this moment. _________________ Putty Cats are God's gift to the universe.
