Joe Walsh has announced dates for a fall tour of North America.

The Eagles guitarist will perform 13 shows on the month-long run, which opens in Warren, OH on September 18.

The trek will reunite Walsh with one of his Barnstorm band members, keyboardist and drummer Joe Vitale; the lineup will also include guitarist Gannin Arnold, bassist Tommy Simms and drummer Drew Hester.

Walsh says he will be performing hits from throughout his career, ranging from the James Gang to his Barnstorm days, to the Eagles and his solo records…along with some surprises.

“I’m going back in the catalog to dig out some songs that I haven’t ever played live, but everything everyone’s coming to hear will also be in the show,” says Walsh. “I've got a great band and I’m excited to play with my old friend Joe Vitale again. I also love being able to go into smaller venues. I’ve missed it…The interaction with the audience is much better, everybody has a good seat and it reminds me of the old days. I think I play my best in a small venue when the bass drums are kicking me in the pants. I'm really looking forward to it all.”

Joe Walsh Fan Club members will be able to access pre-sale tickets starting Wednesday, July 29 at 10am local venue time.

Tickets will go on sale for the general public starting Friday, July 31.

Walsh and The Eagles are currently playing shows across the US on their “History of the Eagles” tour in support of the band’s 2013 documentary of the same name.

The band have been named as one of the recipients of the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors.

The Eagles will be inducted at the 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors event in Washington, DC in December alongside fellow honorees singer-songwriter Carole King, filmmaker George Lucas, actress and singer Rita Moreno, conductor Seiji Ozawa and actress and Broadway star Cicely Tyson.

Saw Joe earlier this year at LI's The Paramount and got to stand in front of him at the stage. Westbury is also a nice venue.

He has a great backing band including 3 back up singers, one of them also does percussion. Well worth seeing!

The Renny Backyard Show is close enough to go to. And my buddy would go in a heartbeat.

But we've already got tix for Ace Frehley that night.

Cool. I'd consider buying a live cd.

I can only paste in this headline, as the local newspaper now charges for online content (grr)

Joe is touring with Tom Petty next year. They'll be here in June.

Edit to add: It's an arena tour.

That would be so cool (& so expensive) in a club.

They play Newark NJ on 6/16/2017 and tickets go on sale soon. Hope they add a NYC date or a LI date.

The James Gang was my favorite group at one point in the sixties. When Pete Townshend saw them immediately signed them up to open for The Who's European tour.
That's how much he was taken with Joe Walsh. A kindred spirit. And a hell of a guitarist!
