I got an e-mail from Sam Phillips today, announcing a digital EP, "Human Contact is Never Easy," that features songs from a new album due out next year.
Here's Sam's explanation:
While finishing a new album, I am releasing an 8-song digital SAMpler called HUMAN CONTACT IS NEVER EASY, available to download on my website or on Amazon, iTunes and Bandcamp. I thought sending some new songs out into the world would be a good way to end this tough year."
Here's the description from Bandcamp:
HUMAN CONTACT IS NEVER EASY by Sam Phillips is an 8-song digital sampler with 4 new songs from the upcoming album "World on Sticks" (expected in 2017), 2 favorites from "Push Any Button" and 2 never-before-released live recordings of the classics "Reflecting Light" and "If I Could Write" from the upcoming concert film "Live at Largo at the Coronet". ------------- Available for a limited time only

Amazon lists these tracks:
