i'm glad about this, but they only had 2 albums...so why not a two-fer?
Agree! But hey, I will take it anyway I can get it. Surprised it was Varese who got the rights. I thought it would be Omnivore, it's right in their sweet spot.

Bump: Added the cover image, description and tracklist to the first post. Not only remastered, but three bonus tracks too!
"Mood Vertigo" ended up on The Cretones' second album, but they were performing a different, rockier version when I saw them during the Thin Red Line tour, so I hope the recording included here is in that earlier style.

Wow. Listening to this right now. I have always loved this album. I saw the Cretones in Denver at the long-gone Rainbow Theater. Mark Goldenberg introduced the band as "Linda Ronstadt's gardeners." Mad Love was one of my favorite Ronstadt records too. I made a list some years ago of everything I wanted that had not yet come out on CD and this was the only item remaining on that list. It's been a long time but great to finally have it again. I love the way they sing "She heads for Illinois" (with that hard S at the end on Thin Red Line). Oh, and the thin red line on the spine of the in-lay card is a nice touch. Classy and clever...much like this band!

I just received mine today as well Murdog. I bet Linda did too.
Love this band, hopefully the sophomore album will follow but having this re-mastered with bonus tracks makes a very nice early Christmas present.

I did receive my copy, but haven't listened to it yet.
I saw The Cretones at The Bottom Line in New York during the Thin Red Line tour. Funny guys with great rapport. I remember they broke down a few bars into "Girls Girls Girls" (which hadn't been recorded yet) and Goldenberg cracked to the audience, "I know we can do this. We practised!" Then they restarted and made it through the entire song.

Wow, you got to see them! I like when bands talk with their audience. Squeeze (or should I say Jools Holland) was big on that when I saw them. Good for you Linda.
It's still early so I may get to the CD this evening. Saturday nights is when I really let loose ( as you know by my posts).
Update: Going right to it. Excellent re-mastering!
