Unlike baseball, football doesn't have that same "oomph" when it comes to movies.

And normally, the good ones always have to kill someone.

I think that's largely true. Possibly because a climactic scene in a baseball movie, by definition, always comes down to a one-on-one conflict----pitcher vs. batter, no matter which side is the movie's protagonist---that football can't replicate. A football scene by nature has to be bigger---11 on 11.

That said, I barely remember the movie, but the Friday Night Lights tv series had some wonderfully dramatic sports moments.

So many of those football movies have so many deaths...

At first I was afraid.

I was petrified.


Then I saw The Replacements made the list.

I love that movie!!!

Only seen a couple of them, so I really can't vote. Also I am confusing Friday Night Lights with the excellent TV show, so I might not even have seen that one.
