Moved so d*** many times in 6 years what's the point?
I haven't had time to listen to the full stream but I love all three songs that have been officially released. They seem deeper and more considered than a lot of Weir's earlier writing.
I like the nostalgia, the considerations of mortality, the serenity that comes with being at peace with oneself. I find Only a River truly comforting every time I hear it. (and Shenandoah is my one of my all-time favorite folk songs).
Maybe it's that both of us are getting older. He's getting there first but we're all getting there.

No, I would call it more country-leaning Americana. To my ears the best album he ever made and damn near the best studio solo album any of the Dead made.

First the debacle regarding the college rape article...now this...Rolling Stone refer to Bob as the bassist of the Dead...twice. Considering how intertwined the band and this rag have been over since inception this goes beyond shit poor journalism.

This may not be the "best" album of the year...but it certainly has become my favorite. Great right now...drinking coffee watching the sun rise...(pretty good late at night with a little soon be to legal so let's get on with it, as well)
