Description
2-CD set that includes the remastered album, plus a bonus disc of singles, outtakes and demos, as well as new liner notes written by Midler. The collection features a remastered version of the original album, including the Top 40 hits: Do You Want To Dance and Friends, as well as the Top 10 smash, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Co-produced by Barry Manilow. The deluxe set also includes five unreleased recordings.

I'm not embarrassed to say, I owned this lp back in 1973! I wasn't even 13 yet. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy still makes me smile.

Always in favor of single mixes as bonus tracks, but I bet this whole thing could've fit on a single disc.

I wish Rhino would put together a good 2-CD anthology for Bette Midler.

I've always had a soft spot for this album, even though I'm not a fan of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Do You Want To Dance?, Superstar, Friends, and Hello In There (a John Prine tune) are all good tracks, and her vocals are excellent throughout, as is the production. I'll probably get this for the remastering and the extra tracks.

Another couple of dollars off the price, now $15.19.
