Do we know if these are mostly originals or if they are the revisited versions?

Bump: Updated the tracklist in the first post.

@Walter/Steve: Based on previous releases in the Collected series, I would guess that these are all originals.

palmer was an odd sort back in the day.

kind of a r&b singer with rock overtones on his first few albums and then "addicted to love" capitulated him into the lime light for few years but he could never repeat it.

some of his older CD's were quite hard to find, i don;t know if they still are or not.

Palmer jumped on the new wave bandwagon in 1980 when he invested in a sequencer and recorded the album Clues. Even though his subsequent albums largely got away from that sound, he was still a staple of WLIR/WDRE's playlist throughout the 80s.

I've been on the lookout for a good ROBERT Palmer comp. I think this might be the one.

be sure these are the original mixes, there are re-mixes and re-makes out there.

According to our reliable source at Universal, since Palmer's passing, the label is no longer obligated to use those horrible remixes for compilations. I asked.

Were there actually "re-makes" out there, or are they just re-mixes?

6. Every Kinda People

One of those songs that should be heard every day but I rarely ever hear it on radio (including XM Radio).

"no longer obligated to use..."

Perhaps it's at the discretion of the compiler. .

I wonder if the "Remix" of "Addicted to Love" is just the 7" version. The album version was over six minutes long.

Listening to this at work. It's the real deal, any and all remixes are ensconced on Disc 3, and those are appropriate 12" mixes, not the remixes from the Addictions comps. Purchase with confidence if you're looking for an all-inclusive Robert Palmer collection--every one of his charting US and UK singles is present and accounted for.

P.S. "Addicted To Love" runs 4:21--probably the single edit.
