I've never really thought of Wizard of Oz as fantasy. More of a musical, really.

Not at all. Come to think of it, the movie is a musical and a fantasy, regardless of what I've ever thought of it.

I'd call it more of a fairy tale with songs than a musical fantasy.

So it's more of a coming-of-age serial-killer fairytale magical dream-sequence road-trip movie. And some of the dialogue is accompanied and sung.

The list does not contain Excalibur and is therefore invalid.

It's really more of an atheist farm thing.

We don't classify Blazing Saddles as a western or Young Frankenstein as a horror movie.
Might as well call Singing In The Rain a fantasy because people don't actually sing in the rain with full orchestral accompaniment.
Fantasy is a fuzzy term here.

And, I'm betting of that 84, about half have been viewed more than once as well.

I was thinking the same thing as I read this list, "why, this list is so much better overall than that other one.." :D
