In this week's "new releases" HD Tracks is listing 13 BOC Titles! Including the self titled debut, Tyranny, On Your Feet, Agents (this one has been around for awhile due to the SACD, Fire of Unknown, ET Live & more.

Hope they're not brickwalled; I'm going to want a bunch of these!

By doing this, you're just endorsing their career of evil.

 And what a career it's been. I especially love there 1st 4 albums, & really like Agents, Fire Of Unknown & ETI Live.

That's 7 albums to replace with upgrades yet again.......

I'm hoping they didn't use the brickwalled masters from the cd box.

I'll probably buy 1 to start & see how it sounds.

Just checked the DR Database. The 2 from this series that are listed are DR11's; which is better than the box & acceptable for hard rock.

Looks like a total of 14 albums available via HDtracks... looking forward to hearing some reviews.

Pono has them also; likely some of the others do too. Pono has already raised prices from $11.99 this afternoon to $12.99 tonight, so I suspect they're selling.

Warning - Career Of Evil is a DR8, though the 2 later ones were listed at DR11 as I mentioned above.

I intentionally only bought 1 to check.

I just sent the following email to HDT. In the past, they've at least offered a replacement when something sucked (though to this day, I don't know why I didn't complain about "Woodstock 2"; which is the WORST HR release I've ever heard; it sounds like it was mastered from a damaged 8 track.......)

"Have you ever considered publishing the "DR (Dynamic Range) number from Foobar 2000's DR Meter next to all listings? While I'm sure it's not a 100% indicator of quality; it usually does tell us if a recording has been overly compressed; I find it correlates with what I hear at least 85-90% of the time. I just bought Blue Oyster Cult Career of Evil. It's terrible (loud, bright & screechy) & happens to have a "DR Rating" of 8 (terrible). I really wanted 5 or so of the new BOC's; but fortunately decided to check 1 before spending a bunch of $'s. I would feel much more secure in my purchasing choices if you would let us customers know if a given mastering is brickwalled. If you're not familiar with Foobar & the DR meter; they have become a fan's standard, & are totally freeware. We really need transparency with hi-res recordings, as there is no way to ACCURATELY sample the sound quality, & many of us are buying these titles for at least the 5th time (there are some titles I've bought 10 times or more; everytime there is a supposed upgrade!). Thanks."
