To celebrate what would have been the 60th birthday of Stevie Ray Vaughan (1954-1990), Epic Records/Legacy Recordings will issue Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble: The Complete Epic Recordings Collection, collecting the trailblazing blues guitarist's most scintillating studio and live works.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble: The Complete Epic Recordings Collection includes the group's original four studio albums, five electrifying live releases (including the commercial debut of A Legend In The Making Live At The El Mocambo, a rare Canadian radio promo album) and a double-disc set of killer studio outtakes from throughout Stevie Ray Vaughan's incredible career, including recordings from previous reissues, box sets and posthumous compilations.

For the Diehard collector out there, the "Live Alive" in this box has the complete vinyl and cassette tracklisting. The previous CD versions omitted "Life Without You".

It's a really good box with smooth sound-not a trace of compression to my ears.

Really, really nice sound and Live Alive is the best of the bunch.

Looks like I need this...

It also has the wrong take of "Life Without You" on the "Soul To Soul" Disc. Just like the previous remaster and the MoFi SACD. You will need the original CD pressing, 1st Greatest Hits disc, or the current AF SACD for the original finished take.

Sorry.It's a sickness....

Have that on the DVR to watch. They've been running a couple music docs every night this week. Some good stuff there - Clapton, Rush, Green Day, Prince, a metal doc. Just when I'd finally been clearing some DVR space!
