I'm posting this link here instead of the GRRM thread because this song doesn't poke fun at how long Martin writes each ASOIAF book. Looks like Paul and Storm have finally learned that GRRM "is not their bitch"---but that doesn't mean that they haven't finished having fun with him...
'Game of Thrones' Star Maisie Williams: "Nothing Will Prepare You" for Season 7
Winter has arrived in the world of Westeros, but when Game of Thrones returns for its seventh season, get ready for some scorching heat.
That's the fiery forecast coming from Maisie Williams, who earned her first Emmy nomination for her work on the series this year as Arya Stark. Williams revealed on Twitter that she's read the scripts for Game of Thrones season seven, the penultimate installment of HBO's award-winning fantasy franchise, and has made her reactions very public.
The three-word summary? According to Williams: "shit gets REAL."
"I'd start preparing yourselves now," she added. "Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this."

'Game of Thrones' Enlists Jim Broadbent for Season 7
The seventh season of HBO's Game of Thrones is beginning to take shape.
Oscar winner Jim Broadbent has boarded the George R.R. Martin fantasy drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
As first reported Wednesday by EW, the Oscar-winning and Emmy-nominated actor — whose credits include Iris, Bridget Jones's Diary and a recurring role in the Harry Potter franchise, among others — will have a "significant" part.
Details about Broadbent's role are being kept under wraps, in typical Game of Thrones fashion.
Season seven will be the penultimate season for the series. HBO programming president Casey Bloys has confirmed that season eight will be the final one for the Emmy darling. Season seven will consist of seven episodes and will not premiere until summer 2017 as producers are waiting for colder weather to reflect the creative story in which winter is indeed coming.
Production will begin this summer and will be based in Northern Ireland, while other locations to be featured next season include Spain and Iceland. Shooting locations in Spain include Seville, Caceres, Almodovar del Rio, Santiponce, Zumaia and Bermeo.
Broadbent's credits also include Moulin Rouge, Gangs of New York and Eddie the Eagle. He is repped by CAA and Conway van Gelder in the U.K.
'Murder, She Wrote' star Angela Lansbury joining 'Game Of Thrones' cast?
Reports suggest that Murder, She Wrote star Angela Lansbury will appear in the next season of Game Of Thrones.
The seventh season will be the penultimate instalment of the show and will debut on HBO in summer 2017. The eighth and final season is expected to follow in 2018.
German news site Bild reports that Lansbury - who is best known for playing Jessica Fletcher in mystery crime drama Murder, She Wrote from 1984 to 1996 - will make a guest appearance in two episodes of season seven, with the actress set to spend four days filming the cameos.
Game of Thrones rumor busted: Angela Lansbury not in season 7
Sorry, Angela Lansbury fans. The former star of Murder, She Wrote is not going to invade Westeros anytime soon.
It’s been widely reported Lansbury might appear in season 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
This is not accurate, the actress’ team told EW on Wednesday.
The rumor began over Labor Day weekend. The original source was a German website for tabloid newspaper Bild, which is described on Wikipedia as “notorious for its mix of gossip, inflammatory language, and sensationalism.”
And yet, despite the source, the idea of Lansbury on the show seemed credible to many. Thrones is full of British stage and screen luminaries, and Lansbury – an Honorary Oscar winner – certainly qualifies. The previous week EW had reported that fellow Oscar winner Jim Broadbent is joining season 7 in a “significant” role. And the Blid report described the 90-year-old Bedknobs and Broomsticks actress’ part as “minor,” appearing in two episodes. So perhaps Lansbury could trade barbs with Lady Olenna (Diana Rigg) in Dorne?
By Wednesday, “Angela Lansbury” was trending on Facebook and searching her name and “Game of Thrones” produced dozens of results on Google News. But this is one Angela Lansbury TV mystery that’s now been solved.
HBO had no comment on the matter. Thrones returns next summer.
'Game of Thrones' actor Joe Dempsie sparks rumours of a return to the show after being spotted at Belfast airport
Joe Dempsie has been photographed arriving at Belfast Airport, sparking fan speculation that his character, Gendry, is set to return in the upcoming seventh season of Game of Thrones.
Dempsie played Gendry on the hit HBO show between 2011 and 2013, becoming a season regular during the third season after having a recurring role in the show's first two seasons. The fate of his character was unknown as the third season concluded.
Game of Thrones fan site Watchers On The Wall has obtained a picture of Dempsie arriving at Belfast Airport recently, with the connection being that much of the show is filmed in Northern Ireland. Other stars of the show, including Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), have also been spotted in Belfast recently, with filming for season seven underway.
See the picture of Dempsie in question above.
Filming for season seven of Game of Thrones began in Northern Ireland on August 31, and will continue until February 2017. The new season is set to premiere in the middle of 2017.
HBO Boss on a 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff: "It's About Finding the Right Take"
No matter who ends up on the Iron Throne when all is said and done, all eyes will be on HBO and if the premium cabler will find a way to have Game of Thrones soldier on.
The massive HBO fantasy franchise — the premium cabler's most watched show ever — is set for two more shortened seasons before concluding the stories of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and the others warring for power and freedom throughout the Seven Kingdoms. But when Game of Thrones ends, there's still more story to tell within the world of Westeros, according to HBO programming president Casey Bloys.
"There are so many properties and areas to go to," Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter this week at the Westworld premiere in Hollywood. "For us, it's about finding the right take with the right writer."
As it stands, however, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will not be those writers. Both Benioff and Weiss made their stance clear at the Emmys this month, when THR asked if they would be interested in running the next inevitable stage of the Game of Thrones franchise.
"You might want to ask George [R.R. Martin] about that. It's a great world George created and a very rich world," said Benoiff. "I'm sure there will be other series set in Westeros, but for us this is it."
Bloys, however, is more optimistic that Benioff and Weiss might whistle a different tune when the time comes for more Thrones. "You're getting them right when they're about to embark on production. It's a big, big commitment for them, not just their creative force, but also their family life. They're gone for months at a time. So it's a big, big thing. But should we find a property that makes sense as a spinoff or a prequel — whatever you want to say — I would not expect them to do it, because they're going to need to decompress for a good amount of time, but it would certainly be nice to have their involvement in some way. At what level? I have no idea."
Until the dust (or the snowflakes, as it were) settles on Thrones, it's too early to know what form a prequel or follow-up would take. According to Bloys, HBO isn't actively investigating where to take the franchise next: "Not yet. There are things that sound interesting, but at this point, we have no writers assigned or anything like that. In a perfect world, Game of Thrones would keep going, and we wouldn't have to deal with any of this!"
For his part, Martin, the author of the Song of Ice and Fire novels on which Thrones is based, has stressed that there's no shortage of material to mine for further television exploration of his expansive fantasy universe.
"I do have thousands of pages of fake history of everything that led up to Game of Thrones," Martin said at the Emmys. "So there's a wealth of material there and I'm still writing more."
Peter Vaughan, 'Game of Thrones' Star, Dies at 93.
Peter Vaughan, known to legions of Game of Thrones fans as Maester Aemon in the HBO series, has died at the age of 93.
His agent Sally Long-Innes confirmed the news Tuesday.
"This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning," she said. "He died peacefully with his family around him."
Vaughan was a veteran of British TV, starring in shows including Citizen Smith, Chancer, Our Friends in the North and Silk. He is perhaps best remembered for his role as the feared Grouty in the prison-based comedy series Porridge. He also played Aemon Targaryen, Maester of the Night's Watch, in the first, third, fourth and fifth seasons of Game of Thrones.
On the big screen, after making his debut in the 1959 remake of Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, Vaughan starred alongside the likes of Frank Sinatra (1967 spy film The Naked Runner), the fresh faces of Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons (1981's The French Lieutenant's Woman) and Anthony Hopkins (1993's The Remains of the Day, playing Hopkins' father). He also worked with Terry Gilliam, appearing in Time Bandits and Brazil, and was cast in one of the director's ill-fated attempts to make The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
Vaughan, who also served with the British armed forces during WWII, was married twice.
On Tuesday, the official Game of Thrones Twitter account shared news of Vaughan's death, saying, "We are deeply saddened."
Game of Thrones actor to fans: 'Get a f---ing life'
Oh, Ian McShane. The actor appeared in roughly 15 minutes of a single Game of Thrones episode but can’t stop slagging the show.
The latest has the always watchable Deadwood and John Wick star sounding very much in curmudgeonly character during an interview in the April edition of Empire Magazine (not online). The actor was asked about the flak he received for quasi-spoiling a major plot point last season: “Can you believe it? ‘Oh, you’re giving it away,'” McShane said. “Firstly, you love it and secondly, you’ll have forgotten by the time it comes out. And what am I giving away? A character beloved by everybody returns. Get a f—ing life. The show is huge but some fans seem to identify with it [too closely]. You want to say, ‘Have you thought about your lifestyle? Maybe you should get out a little more.'”
That phrase, of course, reminds us of William Shatner’s famous Saturday Night Live sketch where he mocked a Star Trek fan convention and told the crowd to “get a life!”
The backstory: McShane guest-starred for a season 6 episode which saw the surprising return of The Hound. The actor was perfect in the role of Brother Ray, but apparently wasn’t entirely on board with the show’s ultra-secretive manner of operating (which is actually pretty common among genre shows and movies these days, and GoT isn’t even Hollywood’s most restrictive set — try spilling some spoilers on a J.J. Abrams movie and see what happens).
Anyway, McShane hinted The Hound was coming back during pre-season interviews, which delighted fans who like spoilers and angered those who don’t. After the uproar, he bashed the show as being about “tits and dragons.” He later told EW that [fans went] “apesh–.”
“I thought, ‘Oh they’ll probably love that at HBO!’ And they did, despite their protestations about the fans, saying, ‘Oh you’ve given something away!’ I find the whole thing funny.”
Thrones returns to HBO this summer. While McShane is returning to premium cable with Starz’ upcoming American Gods, which premieres Sunday, April 30. The producers better hope he says nice things about it!
