Description
Having brought their esoteric funk leanings to Prince & The Revolution through their purple reign in the early 80s, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman split to pursue their own maverick musical path in 1986. Their self-titled debut saw the duo (who won their first Emmy for the soundtrack to hit US drama ‘Nurse Jackie’) at their most creatively daring and typically eclectic – ranging from Minneapolis funk to jazz fusion and acoustic balladry.

Included on this Special Edition CD of 15 remastered tracks are:

The original 1987 album containing the singles ‘Waterfall’, ‘Sideshow’ and ‘Honeymoon Express’, written and produced by Wendy & Lisa with Bobby Z. Includes guest appearance by veteran jazz saxophonist Tom Scott. A must-have for all Prince fans.

Bonus tracks include hard-to-find 12” mixes of all of the album’s singles.

A comprehensive booklet featuring discography and an exclusive interview and track-by-track review by Lisa Coleman with ex-Attitude editor Adam Mattera.
