All of these shows have been bootlegged for decades. Sound on all of them is so-so. Still, some amazing shows -- they were at their live peak by late 1976.
The Chelmsford prison set was famously reworked by Dave Goodman with new basswork (courtesy of Glen Matlock) and new repartee (courtesy of a bad John Lydon imitator), released in the early 1990s. This looks like the original recording (pretty good sound, but bass is almost inaudible).

I have these in unauthorized versions, and yes, they sound lousy to decent at best. I'm wondering if any amount of "professional remastering" they claim to have done would make them sound any better. Guess I'll wait and see.

When I played the "Substitute" cover from a HM Prison boot on my college radio show, the sound was so shitty I received two phone calls telling me how awful it was and begging me to turn it off. That was the most phone calls I ever received while the air, and the only time it was people I didn't know.

I wonder that too, but I'd think the press release would crow about it if it were the case...
