Pete, do you know anything about this? Can't find any reviews at this time. Some UK 3rd parties are selling under $60 which is a great price for all what you get.

ALCATRAZZ TO RELEASE 'THE ULITIMATE FORTRESS ROCK SET' SIX DISC DISCOGRAPHY

Alcatrazz: 'The Ultimate Fortress Rock Set' is a 6-Disc Set with all their original albums, official bootleg tracks and footage from 2 live concerts, one previously unreleased.

'The Ultimate Fortress Rock Set' is released on 25th March 2016 on 5 CDs & 1 DVD in Clamshell Box Set with Card Inner Sleeves plus logo sticker & booklet through 'Store For Music' [Cat No SFMBOX002]. This is the ultimate Alcatrazz collection - with all their original albums, official bootleg bonus tracks and footage from 2 live concerts, one of which is previously unreleased [see below for full tracklisting]. There is also a collector's logo sticker and booklet containing a handwritten message from Graham Bonnet.

Formed by Graham Bonnet, best known for his time with the legendary Rainbow, Gary Shea, Jimmy Waldo, Yngwie Malmsteen and Clive Burr [almost immediately replaced by Jan Uvena] in 1983, the band's debut album 'No Parole From Rock 'N' Roll' appeared the same year.

The band were known for their incendiary live performances and 'Live Sentence', a concert recording from a tour of Japan was released in 1984. In the same year Malmsteen quit the band to be replaced by Steve Vai. The band following year the band released 'Disturbing The Peace' and Alcatrazz's final studio album, 'Dangerous Games', was released late on in 1986.

This collection brings together the band's entire output on one incredible package. Amongst the bonus tracks is 'Escape From Alcatrazz', a live show recorded in Japan 2015 by the Graham Bonnet Band exclusively available here for the first time on CD.

'The Ultimate Fortress Rock Set' collection is a must for all Alcatrazz and Graham Bonnet fans.

This is the set I was talking about here.

And yes, the sound is very good. I've listened to the whole thing but have yet to watch the DVD that was included.

Been listening to my Graham Bonnet solo remasters today. Good stuff.

That's right Mark, now that I followed your link. I think seeing the cover on Amazon UK threw me off which was "What's this?".

You'll enjoy it.

Get Graham's new solo stuff if you can handle the pop music he was into at the time. There's also flashes of late 50's and early 60's music on them also. I like heard rock and metal, but I really like the new remasters of the Bonnet solo stuff.

I'm passing on this and getting the remasters from Hear No Evil/Cherry Red which is backed by a major label and are authorized.

All the discs for Hear No Evil/Cherry Red have better bonus cuts than this box set which also has bootlegs and a fake Alcatrazz w Bonnet solo.

I have no idea what label Arena is, and I trust Mark, but I'm steering away from this.

In fact, I think this may be Store for Music remasters issued under a no-name label and those remasters were an abomination.

Looks to me that this is unauthorized and may be why the proper remasters from Hear No Evil were delayed.

Again, I'm sure Mark wouldn't say it's worthy if it wasn't, but I am staying away.

I don't want to sound like I'm being arrogant because I'm not. I have this and the label is legit. Hear No Evil is the label. There's nothing bootlegged on this at all. Personally, I wouldn't stay away from it. If one is a die-hard fan of Alcatrazz, then the ones you're going for is the ones to get for the bonus stuff.

OK, so it is the label "Hear No Evil" who is putting out the box then, correct? I just to be careful because I got burnt with previous incarnations of Alcatrazz on CD.

I heard about the previous remasters and how tinny they sounded. These don't.
