Just picked up her previous album, Build Me Up From Bones, and it's awfully good. It's things like this that make me wonder how much good music I'm actually missing (says the guy with the chronic music media storage problem).

I've been catching up with some of her previous recordings, and here's the thing about Sarah Jarosz: she fits into that neo-bluegrass genre -- Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss and her band, etc., -- which I really like, and she's right there with the best of them, with excellent vocals, top notch playing (with contributions from Chris Thile and members of Alison Krauss' band, among others) and superb production. High marks all around. But on top of all of that, she writes really great songs that transcend the genre and are frankly some of the most interesting and fresh-sounding songs I've heard in a long time. I'm really enjoying discovering her and hoping this new one continues the trend.
