For the first time, the historic story of the death and return of Superman is collected in one massive, 784-page hardcover volume featuring an all-new cover by pivotal creator Dan Jurgens, timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the event! [title]THE DEATH AND RETURN OF SUPERMAN OMNIBUS[/title] includes the best-selling trade paperbacks THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN and THE RETURN OF SUPERMAN, as well as portions of WORLD WITHOUT A SUPERMAN, plus 40 pages of bonus extras including promotional material and product spotlights.

...just in time for Uncle Rog's birthday! Hoo-hah! :yay:

(I've known about this for a while now, but didn't want to say anything until the book was solicited. Dug 'way back into my own files to supply some of the stuff for the above-mentioned "bonus extras.")

Mr. Stern,

Do you know which parts of World without a Superman they are keeping and which they are dumping?

You and your creative partners did a great job on this story, making it so much more than a gimmick. It will be nice to have it in hardbound.

Yeah, I'm gonna be getting this. This storyline was one of the last few quality Superman runs. There have been good runs since, but Mssrs. Stern and company took a brash marketing scheme and managed to make a compelling story out of it. Good damn stuff!

Color me intrigued. I'd like to know what pieces are missing from WORLD WITHOUT A SUPERMAN as well. And more about the extras.
