watched this for the first time tonight, and was mesmerised ! its basically Lex beating Superman and what happens next.Very enjoyable and much richer than i thought it was going to be.
Lots of wee comic references to things like Jimmy olsen,Watchmen and even a nice nod to John Byrne's Superman .
a very pleasant and surprisingly good.

I agree, Gerry. We saw it as a family on opening night at the movies, and it had both a comic book sensibility but also emotional depth. Some real heroism, turned on its head.
We also have the blu-ray and the kids enjoy rewatching it.

Shelby and I watched this tonight for the first time. We really enjoyed it (though I felt Minion should have been called "Mr. Monkey Fishhead"). It's a good companion piece with The Incredibles and Big Hero 6 (though I like both more).

Though, if I have to complain about something, and I know I don't but I'm going to anyway .... I felt Brad Pitt's casting was way off the mark for the super-guy. He just ... sounded like Brad Pitt to me, and wasn't in line with what I thought they were trying to portray with the character.
