That's a really interesting bunch of information....but I don't think any of it is really surprising. Stan's always been....a bit shy about the details when it comes to those early days.

FYI, I check that board about every day, and post there as "Jay the Brave." My favorite section is "Crisis on Infinite Comics." It's all about collected editions of various things.

I have only just discovered it and haven't done much digging but of course recognised Czeskleba as our Jason immediately. Is this where I'll find Stanley and the dancing banana guy, dried up and covered in cobwebs?

It's a fun board over there but there's too many people who immediately polarize into the most extreme positions possible when there's any discussion of Lee/Kirby/Ditko and who created what, and then willfully misunderstand anyone who's trying to find some middle ground.

This kinda proves that Strange was all Ditko.

Not only that, they need to act like the other person was a talentless hack that the other elevated. I tapped out from the Marvel board a while ago.

Yep. Except for the name. It's unclear who came up with the name. But Ditko plotted and drew the first story on spec, with no input from Stan.

I just found the letters fascinating for their own sake. A glimpse behind the curtain into a world I once thought unimaginably glamorous and remote. It's like finding love letters from my parents before before I was born.
