Finally! Properly remastered albums. I never bought any of the other CD issues, so I am very excited about this, and hope the price isn't too zany. If it is, I will wait and get it for much less after a few months.

Yeah, I hope it's not too outrageous - I might very well be in for these. But how nice would it have been to have this available for the holidays...VIDEO

Looks very nice Linda, thanks!
But...not at $80 it doesn't.
Of course, the price will drop some, but I'll wait until the spring/summer and do my best to nab this in the $35-$40 range.

Can anyone tell me how good the post-Live stuff by Foghat is? I'm familiar with everything up till then.

Stone Blue and Boogie Motel are pretty good. I'm not as familiar with the rest of them. Boogie is one of my favorite Foghat albums.

Agree with Alan.
Those were the last good ones and the last big sellers.
The 7 minute title cut on "Boogie Motel" is great.
Tight Shoes was actually pretty good too (and I still have the bubble-gum LP of that from 1980).
The latter albums are patchy, but not bad.

Thanks for the replies. I'm good with that. Being that these got a proper (hopefully) remaster, I'm looking forward to these discs, especially Live ... one of the best live albums ever, one that should've been 2 discs. Lord knows they had the material for it.

I have a different version of the live album - same cover, as I recall, but an expanded track list. Also different versions of a couple of the songs. I had to find a copy of the original for those other versions.

It will be much lower in 4-6 months.
No rush for me on this.

Mine arrived today. Will give it a listen in chronological order. I'll have an opinion by tomorrow evening.
In another month, this set will be $13.99

That's just on the Bearsville label. They have 15 studio discs total along with 3 live discs. Eight comps, and 2 of those are also live.

So far, I've made it to Stone Blue and these sound damn good. Not too loud, not too soft. I think I'm going to save Live for my car stereo and blast that one in there. That was always a good cruisin' album anyway.
