The Force Awakens is the correct answer.

I've only seen that first Star Trek one, so I'm not qualified to vote, IMO. I am betting that Rafael is correct, however, since the only parts of that Star Trek one that have stayed in my mind are the giant snow monster and sexy Uhura. The rest is a blur.

Star Trek wins for its lack of Mary Sues. OH NO I DIDN'T (Just kidding. Still, I enjoyed the new story set in the Star Trek universe over the remake of a 1970s B-movie.)

Haven't seen "Super 8" or any of the "Mission Impossible" flicks. Still, I have to single out "The Force Awakens"--it's definitely his work that II find the most rewatchable, and it has a bit more depth, particularly emotional depth, than either of his two "Trek" flicks.
That said, I really can't pinpoint anything in any of these films that makes him especially distinctive as a modern filmmaker, outside of that whole "mystery box" thing.

I liked both Star Trek 2009 and Star Wars TFA. I would lean Star Wars just because I am a bigger fan of that franchise. Into Darkness was not his best effort though.

I have no complaints with the way the voting is progressing.
He saved the Mission Impossible franchise ( 2 sucked ) and made it a viable option going forward.
It was time to reboot Star Trek, and he did a fine job, but yes, the first was better than the 2nd.
Super 8 was a lot of hype and not a great deal of substance.
The Force Awakens was the reigniting of the Star Wars franchise that made everyone forget about anything that happened since they saw Ewoks dancing for joy back in the 80s.

That, right there, is a gold star post.
