unless this a straight forward reissue of the last reissue.........this will be the third time these 2 CD's have been released.

if i recall correctly, last time they had 2 different editions also, the 2 disc version with the bonus tracks and that big blue box version that was supposed to be a one-time only limited edition.

Actually, the tan slipcase was the first limited edition. The blue slipcase was a reissue.

J&R had a ton of the blue version when they were going under. I bought an extra one for about $7.00.

For anyone who already has this, would getting the original version of the "Wilbury Twist" video on the DVD this time make you buy it again?

:p

See it here:

It looks like Concord Records has the rights to this now, just like they do with REM's Warner Brothers albums. I'm guessing these Wilbury sets will be exact replicas of the Warner sets in terms of content.

Fleeced how? If someone wants it, they'll voluntarily pay for it. If they don't want it, they won't.

Okay, product descriptions for all three editions have finally been provided by Concord and they are now in the first post.

(Schads had first spotted the vinyl set and I've moved that pre-order link up to the top; pobbard's posted video for "Wilbury Twist" is no longer viewable in the USA and YouTube doesn't currently have another upload of it.)

If somebody is buying a Wilburys album for the very first time in the year 2016, are they getting 'fleeced'?

Heck no. Love these albums and glad they are available to newbies.

I am also wondering who is getting fleeced.

This is a series of reissues by a label that acquired the rights.

Now it is back in print.

Nobody who owns the remasters are buying the same exact thing again.

Seriously...

Add me to the list who doesn't quite get the "fleeced" angle to this.
