Is this actual songs or another off-beat project?

I've totally lost interest in Bruce and I am a huge fan who has seen him live 5 times.

Dulcimers don't excite me much.

"Piano-free" is not a selling point for a Bruce Hornsby album. It reminds me of when jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval recorded a piano album with no trumpet-playing. An artist should stretch, but he shouldn't forget what got him to the party in the first place. Bruce is a unique piano player with incredible technique. Will we say the same about his dulcimer playing?

Okay, I like that. It still sounds like Bruce's music (vocally & rhythmically), as opposed to the oddball Big Swing Face album. The guitarist reminded me of Bruce's late nephew, R.S. Hornsby.

just listened to this on NPR....very good, damn good actually... and not a single piano note on the whole record.
