If you enjoy Gord and missed this one the first time 'round, get it this time. The previously unreleased material is well worth hearing/owning. I paid close to $60.00 in 1999, so, if the packaging is the same, $40.00 is a nice deal. The original featured 4 jewel cases and a hard-bound booklet housed in a sturdy cardboard slipcase. All around, one of the five best boxsets I own. I own quite a few.

I saw Gordon Lightfoot in the late-1970s and it was a wonderful show. What I can't remember is this...he played a song that he'd never released at the time and I had the feeling that it was something he'd been playing for a long time, kind of a treat to people who saw his concert. Does anyone happen to know what this song was and whether or not it ever got released?

I believe you're referring to "If It Should Please You." It's the first track on Gord's Gold Volume II.

I had this box for awhile when several of his albums hadn't yet been released on CD. I liked a couple of the unreleased tracks, but not enough to keep the box once the missing albums came out on CD. Sold it and got more than I paid for it used (about $20.00).

Not sure...I'll have to listen to it again. Thanks!
